Over the last few weeks, I have been truly understanding what it means to have boys.
There are hours of moving, running, eating, yelling, screaming, chaos. The only time it’s quiet in this house is when they have finally tired themselves out and have fallen asleep.
While all of this has made exhausted, I can see the importance of photographing them. But not just photographing them as we’ve known before, but understanding that THESE are those moments. While it is important to have those lovely sweet milestones captured, the memories that they will have are days like these. The chaos. The mess. In 10 years, 20 years, 30 years time – these are going to be the memories.
I’m going to be trying a few new things. I want everyone to understand why it’s important to capture life like this. Sometimes it’s not about the perfect moments, it’s about how they see the world.
Do you have a questions about photographing your children?
