Hop Harvest 2017!

When I tell people, Jacob is growing hops, they give me that look.

Damn Bearded Beer Lovin’ Hipsters. Welllllll, ok maybe. Maybe just not the hipster term.

J had divided one plant into two last year and to be honest, the first half of the season was looking a little sketchy. The hops were teeny tiny! But then all of a sudden – bam! They went crazy! The smell of them is something that is so fresh and amazing.

Before drying them in a dehydrator, they came in at 250 grams. It doesn’t sound like much, but it was enough to fill a large zip lock bag. And probably enough for a brew! (I hope!)

I’m not much of a drinker these days, but I will be partaking in the beer made from these little beauties!
